Samsung releases ad trolling Apple, again
Published on YouTube earlier today, the new video is almost two minutes long. Titled “Samsung Galaxy: Join the flip side,” it highlights the Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable that the company recently launched. The video begins with a girl showing her new foldable to a friend named Elena. She proudly tells her friend that the phone “literally folds in half,” which is pretty cool. The Flex Mode allows you to use the phone partially folded at various angles, enabling use cases like hands-free group selfies. Elena is amazed by what the Galaxy Z Flip 4 offers and is tempted to grab it. But then she insecurely and confidently says that she wouldn’t switch to Samsung because “she loves her phone”. Samsung is seemingly trying to tell that Apple has created a lock-in effect to prevent iPhone users from switching to Android even if they want to. This is something Google has also accused Apple of. You might be aware of that green and blue text bubble phenomenon. Moving on with the new Samsung ad, Elena can’t get the Galaxy Z Flip 4 out of her mind. She sees the clamshell foldable in various everyday things. Books, folding chair, fridge door, yoga poses, toile seat, folding scooter, and even a hand waving hello. She realizes that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is unique and that she has been buying the same phone over and over again. That makes it easy to guess which phone she currently uses. Only one smartphone in the world brand does that. While Elena seeing the Galaxy Z Flip 4 all around her was a dream, she immediately orders the foldable after she woke up. Because her current phone couldn’t be folded in half. She then proudly uses the device in public transport, turning heads toward her. That is what Samsung said in the previous ad, that heads will turn towards the Galaxy Z Flip 4, not towards an iPhone. You can watch the new Samsung ad below.
