The OnePlus Buds N come in Black and White color options
Other than that, the leaks were quite accurate. That goes for both design and spec leaks. These earbuds got announced in two colors, Black and White, though a third color may become available on April 28. That’s the date when these earbuds are expected to debut outside of China, in India. These earbuds combine flat and curved design hints, and have a familiar-looking charging / carrying case. They do look quite simplistic, which is something many people will probably like.
They include a 12.4mm dynamic driver
The OnePlus Buds N earbuds come with a 12.4mm dynamic driver which is tuned for rich bass. They have a 20-20,000Hz frequency response range, and a 98dB driver sensitivity. Bluetooth 5.2 is supported here, as is AAC codec, and Dolby Atmos. The same goes for the OnePlus Fast Pair (OnePlus 6 and later). The earbuds have dual microphones for AI call noise cancellation. They also include touch controls for track change, voice assistant, and play/pause. IP55 rating is also a part of the package, which means they are sweat and water resistant. You can easily go work out with them, or get caught in the rain. These earbuds feature a 94ms low latency with selected OnePlus smartphones and with Pro Gaming Mode enabled. The latency is a bit higher outside the game mode, same as on non-OnePlus phones, but still very low.
Each of the earbuds offers up to 7 hours of playback, while fast charging is supported
A 41mAh battery is placed in each earbud, while the charging case has a 480mAh battery. Each of these earbuds should be able to provide up to 7 hours of playback, 30 hours with the charging case included. Fast charging is also supported, as you can charge them for 10 minutes to get 5 hours of play time (charging box + earbuds). The earbuds measure 27.76 x 20.72 x 23.49mm, while they weigh 4.82 grams (each). The charging case measures 67.9 x 35.5 x 28.68mm, while it weighs 47.23 grams. Do note that the black earbuds are slightly lighter, while their charging case is slightly heavier. We don’t know why, though. The OnePlus Buds N are priced at CNY199 ($30) in China, which is a truly low price tag, especially compared to other truly wireless earphones from the company. These earbuds will be a bit more expensive once they launch in India on April 28.
