The Nothing Phone (1) was one of the most anticipated phones of the year. It was hyped up by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei for months. It stands out because of its clear back glass and the array of LED strips on the back called Glyph Interface. It’s an interesting device, and we can only think about what the next iteration of the phone will be. While we’re far out from the Nothing Phone (2), we got wind of another variant of the Nothing Phone (1).
Nothing could launch a Lite version of the Phone (1)
Right now, we’re running on rumors, so you’ll want to take this with a grain of salt. According to sources in the industry (via The Mobile Indian), Nothing could be working on an even cheaper version of the Nothing Phone (1). We don’t have any details on the name for this device, so it’s being dubbed the Nothing Phone (1) Lite. In all honesty, we also don’t have any details on whether this phone exists. When The Mobile Indian reached out to Nothing, the company denied that any device existed.
So, how will Nothing “Liten” the load with this phone?
According to the sources, this Lite phone could retain a lot of the internals that are present in the Nothing Phone Proper. It’s expected to have the same processor, camera, and display. One source points to a RAM/storage configuration of 6GB/128GB. Another source claims that it will come with a larger 5,000mAh battery. One of the main differences that we’ll see will have to do with the back cover. The Nothing Phone (1) is notable for its clear back panel with the Glyph Interface. However, the Lite Nothing Phone (1) might actually lack these features. This phone is rumored to launch to the Indian market sometime in October. That’s only two months away, so we should know more about this phone soon.
