Earlier, the phone surfaced on both TENAA and 3C authority websites. All in all, the device pulled up a bunch of necessary stops before its release, so we’re expecting it to arrive soon.
The Motorola Moto Edge 40 Pro aka Moto X40 flagship is coming soon
Now, do note that the Motorola Moto Edge 40 Pro name will be used in China only. Globally, this phone will likely be renamed to the Moto X40, as was the case with previous models. That being said, the phone’s design is not a secret at this point, and neither are its specs. If you take a look at the image below this paragraph, you’ll see its design that appeared on TENAA.
The Moto Edge 40 Pro will feature a curved display, with a centered display camera hole. We can’t really see its bezels here, but they’ll likely be quite thin. What we can see, however, is that the display is curved on all four sides.
It will include three cameras on the back
Three cameras will sit on the back of the device, and will be located in the same camera island, along with an LED flash. Two Motorola logos will sit on the back side of the phone. We’ll likely get glass on the back, by the way. All the physical buttons will sit on the right-hand side of the device. The power/lock key will be placed below the volume up and down buttons, as is the case on the vast majority of phones. When it comes to specs, the phone is said to utilize a 6.67-inch fullHD+ OLED display. That display will likely have a 144Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel the phone, a chip that will launch in a couple of days. We’re still not sure what battery capacity will it offer, but we’ll likely get a 5,000mAh unit. 68W charging will also be supported, while Android 13 will come pre-installed on the device. A 50-megapixel main camera will be backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. The phone is said to weigh 196mm, and it will be 8.5mm thick.
