It is made out of metal and glass, while there seems to be a vegan leather variant as well. We’re not sure if it will be making its way to global markets, though. This phone has really powerful specs, and that’s what we’re here for.
The HONOR Magic V comes with powerful specs, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
The HONOR Magic V is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, Qualcomm’s most powerful processor to date. HONOR also included 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM here, along with 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. The phone’s main display measures 7.9 inches, and comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1080 (431 PPI). This is an OLED display, and it offers a 90Hz refresh rate. Its secondary display measures 6.45 inches, and it comes with a resolution of 2272 x 1984 (381 PPI). That is also an OLED display, though it offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Both panels support HDR10+ content, by the way.
66W HONOR SuperCharge is also included
A 4,750mAh battery is also included here, and it supports 66W fast wired charging. That charging is called HONOR SuperCharge, and it can charge that battery all the way up in only 40 minutes. Wireless charging is not supported here. Android 12 comes pre-installed on the HONOR Magic V, with HONOR’s Magic UI 6.0 skin. Two speakers are included inside of the phone, while there are three 24bit HDR microphones for stereo voice reception.
The phone includes three 50-megapixel cameras on the back
There are three 50-megapixel cameras on the back of this phone. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.9 aperture) comes with a wide-angle lens. A second 50-megapixel camera is one with an ultrawide lens, and we’re looking at an f/2.2 aperture here. The third 50-megapixel camera (f/2.0) is referred to as the ‘Spectrum Enhanced Camera’. This phone’s cameras can capture 4K video, and provide you with digital zoom up to 10x. A single 42-megapixel camera (f/2.4 aperture) sits on the phone’s front side. There are two SIM card slots here, while an NFC chip is also included. You will find a Type-C USB port at the bottom, and it supports USB 3.1. Wi-Fi 6 is also supported, as is 5G connectivity.
There are three color variants on offer, one of which doesn’t have glass back
The phone comes in Black, Titanium Silver, and Burnt Orange variants. The first two are made out of metal and glass, while the third combines metal and vegan leather. The first two weigh 293 grams, while the Burnt Orange model weighs 288 grams. The HONOR Magic V measures 160.4 x 72.7 x 14.3mm when folded. When unfolded, it measures 160.4 x 141.1 x 6.7mm.
