Google is holding the event at the Shoreline Amphitheater though. So that’s perhaps one step closer to being an in-person event compared to last year. So maybe things will get back to normal in 2023. Google has also put up the official I/O site for this year, although there isn’t exactly much to see there at the moment. Save for a countdown timer to the big day and the listed dates and times. Speaking of which, Google I/O 2022 is officially 55 days and 17 hours away at the time of writing.
Google I/O 2022 will have a limited live audience
While a virtual event may not be as exciting as an in-person event, some will get to attend. Google states that the event will have a limited live audience. Although these will all be Google employees and a handful employees of any companies that Google is holding the event with. That means for anyone else, the event is entirely online. So, plan your time accordingly if you like to watch these events every year. As you’ll be tuning in via YouTube. Right now Google hasn’t mentioned any details about what to expect from the event. Though you can probably expect to see new information about upcoming products from some of Google’s most popular hardware and services including Nest, Fitbit, Wear OS, Chrome, Gmail, and of course Android.
Is there a puzzle to be solved?
Google’s official I/O site usually has puzzles to solve that end up surfacing some interesting information or easter eggs related to the event. As mentioned the site doesn’t have any information on it right now, but there is a countdown timer along with giant rotating clock. The clock may hold some secrets though. You can click on all of the dots in the four rings that correlate to the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the event kicks off. So there may be something there to solve for those that wish to try.
