Android 13 beta is now available for the ASUS ZenFone 9
The device comes with Android 12 out of the box, but you can now become an Android 13 beta tester, if you want. Everyone is invited, pretty much. Enrolling into it is as simple as entering several settings menus. All you have to do on your device is open the ‘Settings’, and then navigate to ‘System’ and ‘System update’. Once you’re there, tap the icon in the top-right corner, and you’ll see the ‘Enroll in the Beta Test Program’ option. If you’re interested, tap it, and then read the test offered by ASUS. If you’re fine with what it says, click ‘I agree’, and then tap the button at the bottom of the display. The phone will start to download the Android 13 beta for you.
Android 12 is very stable on the device, while this beta build may be buggy
Do note that this is just beta software, though, so bugs are very much possible. If you’re planning to use the device as your daily driver, we would not recommend this. Android 12 on the phone runs great, and it’s extremely stable, so we’d stick with that. We do know that some of you simply can’t help yourself, and would love to use something new. Well, here’s your chance. If you do enroll, you’ll get future beta updates as well of course. We’re not sure when will the stable build for the device arrive, but it shouldn’t take all that long. ASUS did launch this beta program quite soon, so… we’ll see how fast will things proceed. If you’d like to know more about the ZenFone 9, feel free to check out our full review of the device. If you’re in the market for a more compact smartphone, this phone is definitely worth checking out.
