The beta seems to be fairly short and won’t be around for long. So if you’re interested in participating you’ll want to set aside some time to check things out. The beta test launches on December 16 and will go until December 19. That’s only three days to sink your teeth in. But it does start on a Friday and end on a Monday. So the test is on the weekend and it should be easier for more people to find time for it. Capcom says the purpose of this beta is to monitor the play experience and identify potential issues to hopefully fix them before release and improve the quality of the game. As for what the test includes, it looks like players will have access to quite a bit. Ranked matches, casual matches, and battle hub matches are all on offer. As are open tournaments, extreme battle, the game center, and training mode.
You need to apply for the Street Fighter 6 closed beta
As is to be expected, you will need to apply for the beta testing if you want to be a participant. Being that the test comes up in two weeks, you should apply now if you’re interested. You can do so by clicking this link. With that said, this only applies to new participants. If you were already involved in the first closed beta, you will be given access to the second test without having to apply. For this test, cross-play is on, and it’ll be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The test includes a number of bug fixes from the first one and even the ability to reduce input delay. Which Capcom says will be useful for people playing on console with a 120Hz monitor. Steam players can access the feature as well by enabling the new feature and turning off V-Sync, then scaling the refresh rate up to 120Hz or above.
