But for some reason or another, it just wasn’t something that 343 Industries was ready to push with the launch of its latest Halo title. Earlier this year it announced that an upcoming Halo Infinite campaign co-op test flight would be available for Halo Insiders. If you signed up, you’d have a chance to participate in the test and play with friends. Well, the beginning of the test is today, so you’ll want to check those emails to see if you were selected.
The Halo Infinite campaign co-op test supports 4 players
If you were selected to participate in the test period, you can now play the campaign with up to 4 people. You can play on any of the three platforms the game is available. Which includes Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The PC version of the game can be the purchased version from Steam or downloaded for free through Game Pass. Additionally, the campaign co-op test supports cross-play. So if your friends play on a different platform than you, not to worry. You can all still squad up together and have some fun on Zeta Halo. 343 is also adding in a mission replay feature for testing. This is another thing that was missing from the campaign when the game initially launched last Fall.
The test will last for the rest of the month
Even if you aren’t planning on hopping on right away, you have some time. 343 says the test flight for co-op will last for the rest of the month. Specifically, it begins today and continues until August 1 at 10am PT. Which means you have a full two weeks to check out the campaign with friends before it goes away again. Also worth noting is that you can play through the full campaign during the test. So if you and your friends are committed, you can easily finish it this weekend. Then go in for a second run through.
